The use of gloves is recommended, as Galv-Etch can stain the skin and cause irritation from prolonged use
Wear an appropriate mask when using Galv-Etch in a confined space where there is limited ventilation
Galv-Etch will stain clothing – rinse immediately
Do not store Galv-Etch in metal containers or let Galv-Etch come into contact with any metal as black oxide will form and contaminate remaining solution.
When the colour of Galv-Etch has changed from dark purple to grey or light blue, the mixture has been contaminated and will not be effective any more.
Although small quantities of Galv-Etch will not affect plants, larger volumes or continuous exposure could cause temporary harm, resulting in yellowing of plants.
